Community Relations:  An Overview

Onslow Carteret Behavioral Healthcare Services provides information and education to the general public regarding local behavioral healthcare services and agency activities. Community Relations serves as the link between the agency and the community. The Community Relations Team is the portal for media relations.

A Speaker's Bureau is also available for speaking engagements for local businesses, clubs, civic groups, etc. Please call 910-219-8000 for more information.

Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (CFAC)

Mental Health Association in Onslow County

The Mental Health Association in Onslow/Carteret County, a chapter of the Mental Health Association in NC, Inc. meets the fourth Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m.  Email Ms. Allison Garner, Regional Program Specialist for more information and meeting location.

NAMI Family-to-Family Education Program

National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Family-to-Family Education Program - Free educational program for loved ones of persons with mental health illness.  This class helps family members understand and support their mentally ill relative while maintaining their own well-being.  Please contact Sue Rider at (910) 328-3693 for more information.
