OCBHS Abbreviation List - A list of commonly used abbreviations OCBHS utilizes
OCBHS Area Board - a policy making body established to address/oversee the financial, strategic planning, resource development, and community organization aspects of Onslow Cartret Behavioral Healthcare Services.
OCBHS Speaker's Bureau - This free service provides seminars, educational presentations, and information related to mental health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse issues to the community.
OCBHS Consumer and Family Advisory Committee (CFAC) - working closely with the Board of County Commissioners and Onslow Carteret Behavioral Healthcare Services in the development of a plan of service support for persons with mental illness, developmental disability and substance dependence. The public is welcome to attend meetings and share their concerns regarding these issues.
National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) Family-to-Family Education Program - Free educational program for loved ones of persons with mental health illness. This class helps family members understand and support their mentally ill relative while maintaining their own well-being.
